Angelica Stiskin is internationally recognized for her versatility as a choreographer, director, performer, and dance educator. She proudly earned her BFA in Dance at Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan, performing works by Robert Battle, Shen Wei and Lar Lubovitch to name a few. Angelica is honored to have assisted the Emmy Award winning Mia Michaels across the U.S.A. and Canada. She has performed with Justin Bieber and The Disney Channel’s Shake It Up Girls, as well as a guest artist in ASH Contemporary Dance Company and American Dance Artists, Adrienne Canterna's former company, with performance artists such as Rasta Thomas and Travis Wall. Other privileges include working for Benoit-Swan Pouffer (Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet), Marlena Wolfe (Rehearsal Director), Ballroom Marfa, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble (Detroit Opera House/Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival). Angelica has worked as a répétiteur for Robert Battle, representing “The Hunt” in the Netherlands for world-renowned company, Introdans. She directed and choreographed a piece for NY Fashion Week in collaboration with Louis Vuitton and Parsons School of Design. She has also been commissioned by Christian Dior Couture to choreograph in honor of the Spring/Summer 2019 collection inspired by dance. Her work was requested by Consuelo Vanderbilt for a multi-media event produced by SohoMuse launching NY Fashion Week September 2022. Angelica is part of the adjunct faculty at Marymount Manhattan College, is seen touring the country teaching on faculty on Heat Convention & Competition’s National Tour, as well as directing and choreographing live events and dance on film / screendance. She resides in Manhattan, positioned as Artistic Director of Joffrey Ballet School’s Jazz & Contemporary Trainee Program since September 2017. She was one of the first faculty members of the program fifteen years ago and is now humbly in charge of the program’s trajectory. Her responsibilities at Joffrey Ballet School have expanded since her beginnings: Artistic Director of Flagship Jazz & Contemporary Summer Intensive, SPECTRUM, Open Classes and JoffreyNOW programming, as well as the lead of the school’s Audition Tour. Angelica is honored to have this responsibility of guiding the future generations of dance while continuing to design high-level concepts for fashion, editorial, and entertainment.
